It’s been nearly a month of working on the greenhouse renovation, but we’re finally done! It looks pretty fabulous, if I do say so myself.
As a reminder, here’s some of the planning that went into it Greenhouse Colour Scheme, and here’s what it looked like before … (more…)

We’re tearing down the house! Okay, not the whole house, but there has been some serious crow-bar action going on in the kitchen this week it feels like we’re demolishing the hole place.
J has been working away on the kitchen renovation by removing the top cupboards that I have been DYING to remove since we got into the place. Here are the before shots (notice how dark the kitchen is with the upper cabinets casting shadows everywhere)… (more…)

I’m happy to announce… the house is bought and paid for! So EXCITING! Even though we’ve been working on the house for a few weeks, it has taken forever to officially close. It’s a good thing for you too because I’d have very little to write about had we not, and you’d have a far more arduous afternoon trying to fill that extra 4.5 minutes of your day. As we’re painting and caulking and sanding the greenhouse – which by the way is *nearly* there…though it seems the final details take FOREVER, but it’s gunna be great when it’s done – my thoughts keep moving to the powder room downstairs. Largely because it’s got a horrible floor right now and it’s such a tiny room, I feel like there’s so many fun things I could do with the space sooner than later.
After several days of pondering, Pinterst-ing, and blog-hopping, I think I’ve found a combination of elements that will work really well, and hopefully won’t put us over budget. It’s going to be a while before any of this actually happens though, considering we live nowhere near an IKEA, Home Depot, or major appliance stores, and so far the only thing I’ve purchased for the room is this super cute chandelier/pendant….
